Tomatoes seedlings in our 80mm paper pots |
Chris has been looking at how to make our plants better. In the last couple of years we introduced larger pots. Tomatoes do better in larger pots. Other plants like capsicums, chillies and eggplants only succeed in larger pots.
But plastic pots contribute to waste. As a business we seek to limit our impact on the planet.
After much thought we have decided to use paper pots. Chris can make a paper pot in 45 seconds. When labour costs are counted these pots are twice the financial cost of plastic but no cost to the planet. Another added bonus is the pots are bigger than ever before.
